Learning Log account deletion can be requested either through the app or by contacting Learning Log support. The in-app process is the standard route for users who can still sign in, as it allows the request to be authenticated directly from the account.
Email support is available if you cannot access the app, no longer have it installed, or want to request deletion of a specific category of data. Account deletion is permanent, so export any records you wish to keep from Settings → Data & export.
1. Account deletion
To close your Learning Log account and remove the associated account data, submit the deletion request from inside the app:
- Open Learning Log and sign in.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Account, then Delete account.
- Confirm the tickbox and tap Delete. The account deletion process will begin immediately.
Request deletion if you cannot use the in-app process
If you cannot sign in or no longer have the app installed, you have two options. Use our contact form and pick Privacy or data request, or email hello@delta60.com (the app developer) from the email address registered to your Learning Log account, using the subject Delete my Learning Log account. If you are writing from an address that does not match an active account, we may need to verify your identity and ownership of the account before we can process the request. We aim to respond within five working days.
2. Specific data deletion
Closing the account is not required if you only want to remove individual records. These can be managed inside the app:
- Reading logs, event records, favourites, and saved links can be deleted individually from the relevant screen.
- Marketing preferences (Learning Log marketing list, Learning Log beta list) can be turned off in Settings → Marketing preferences.
- Profile fields can be cleared in Settings → Profile.
To request removal of a specific item or category of data, use our contact form and pick Privacy or data request, or email hello@delta60.com (the app developer) from the address registered to your account and describe what you want removed.
Data removed on account deletion
When an account is deleted, the following information is permanently removed and cannot be restored:
- Your profile information (name, email, professional details).
- Your reading logs, event records, reflections, and learning needs.
- Your favourites and saved links.
- Generated outputs, including appraisal exports and AI-refined text.
- Your app preferences and settings.
- Your membership of the Learning Log marketing list and the Learning Log beta tester list.
Records retained after deletion
A limited set of operational, financial, and safety records may be retained after account deletion where there is a legal or legitimate reason to do so. Where possible, the account identifier is replaced with an anonymised marker so the records are no longer linked to an active account. These records are kept for up to 12 months and then automatically purged:
- Financial records (token purchases and balance changes), kept for tax and accounting.
- AI usage records (model name, cost, token counts), kept for cost monitoring and abuse prevention.
- Content reports and transcription rejection records, kept for safety analytics.
- Bug reports you submitted, kept for support operations.
Security audit logs may retain an internal account identifier where this is necessary to evidence the deletion itself, investigate abuse or fraud, or comply with a legal obligation.
What is not affected
If you have separately consented to receive marketing about other products and services from Delta 60 Ltd, that consent is managed separately. Closing your Learning Log account does not remove you from that list. You can leave the other products and services marketing list at any time using the unsubscribe link in any of those emails.
